5 sustainable style staples for Winter 2019
Joining the sustainability game, THE ICONIC recently launched Considered. An edit which aims to demystify the world of conscious fashion, making it easier for customers to shop ethically.
We spoke with Nicole Adolphe, Head of Style at THE ICONIC, who gave us her top picks from the edit that we all need in our wardrobe this Winter.
1. The Trench Coat
This is a must-have investment piece for winter. The new way to wear the classic trench is with a slip dress or skirt underneath or belted with pants and boots just to add texture and edge to your style. This House of Dagmar belted trench has a great oversized fit and features a detachable belt to cinch in the waist.
2. High Waisted Jeans
The perfect style of denim to dress up or dress down . A light wash denim is perfectly matched to this seasons pastel hues and neutral tones. Check out the Nobody Denim, Bessette Jeans which come in a range of colours.
3. The Slip Dress
This is the season’s staple with multiple ways to wear. It is best worn with a turtle neck underneath, under a trench coat, with a sweater on top or even as is for an evening out. The Feather Drum, Yvonne Slip Dress is one of my favourites.
4. Statement Sleeves
It’s all about the big blousy sleeve this season so I am loving this cute day dress by Shona Joy. This can be worn with boots and a cross body bag for a go-to autumn outfit.
5. White Trainers
These are an everyday essential shoe that will work with any outfit. You can never go wrong with a classic white trainer. The Matt & Nat, Hazel Sneaker in white are an amazing, affordable option.
